    Here we go again.

After the nut job in Norway said he used COD to train for his attacks, Dublin radio station 98fm are doing a segment this evening on the effects of gaming.

Will it be a balanced well thought out discussion or a typical misinformed rant by the ignorant?

Will anyone from here call to put forth a gamers point of view?

Podcast is not up yet. I had to turn off after 5 minutes as it was nothing more than what we are used to.

Mary: Kids shouldn't be playing GTA or COD because you can kill prostitutes and you can shoot people.

Interviewer: Do you have any kids Mary, and do theyplay these games?

Mary: Yes i have a 14 year old son and yes he does play them, infact i think he is a commander in COD. I hear him most nights shouting at other people through his headset to ' Kill him '

As usual the mind boggles at the ignorance and stupidity of these people.

I'm never listening to one of these discussions again.

    Did anyone expected anything else?

Radio will talk about thing that masses care. If atleast half of the **** they talk would be true, then there would be no Ireland, just a death valley. Gamers would have killed everyone.

The presenter kept saying that Anders had said "on his blog" that "Call Of Duty was the best form of training he had ever had" and that he was addicted to it...........he never, ever said that. He did mention only twice that he saw it more as part of his training in his manifesto

She also smugly throws away John Carmack's remarks that video games relieve stress as "Ara' sure, he's just a game creator, of course he'd say that!"

Then the 1st guest talking about violent games while seemingly having no problem with her 14 year old son playing CoD.

The 2nd guest came on talking about GTA, which he clearly showed next to zero knowledge of with blurting out shìte like raping, running over people "while laughing", running over bus stops.

It really is the height of ignorance that such a sickening tragedy can be blamed solely on video games. Ignoring the other important aspects of the problems of multi-cultralism and racial segregation. Paint us gamers as "electric kids" while ignoring the gobsmacking lack of responsibilties these parents refuse to accept.

While she mentions her son has epilepsy she believes she's doing the right thing in not letting him play games to prevent him from doing a GTA or Anders in real-life.

They couldn't even get the name of Pong right, which they harked back to the good ol' days. They called it Ping :pac:

A guy came on defending games who said he let's his 10 year old play GTA..............suddenly the presenter went on the attack (she didn't with the other guests) on why he let's his underage kid play such games while also twisting his words to make him look like an idiot (granted, he could've phrased things better).............that's the level of bullshìt this show consists of.

What a disgusting piece of sensationalist "journalism", utterly refusing point-blank to point the finger at the parents. Another **** fest from ill-informed people at how gamers are ticking time bombs waiting to kill you.
