illness benefit

    anyone know if it should take ten weeks for an illness benefit claim to be paid. have spent ages trying to get through to them every time and it has cost me a fortune. have been told twice i would get called back but of course no call back. getting really fed up with this now. am due a baby any day now and am due my top up in pay which i cant get till i receive my illness benefit. ten weeks is beyond a joke now. Any suggestions?

    Go to your CWO and ask to be considered for a SWA. You will be meanstested for this, so really only go if you simply cannot manage while waiting for your claim to be processed. 10 weeks seems to be a bit long. Are you ringing
