Who didnt know about the thing on the back of your driving licence to Tick(sign), which is legally a form of becoming an organ donor! few people ive talked to didnt know about this!

I dont have my licence on me now, so I cant remember if its just a box you tick, or you sign it.I presume its still on licences been issued currently?

Do your good deed for the day and do it now, if not done allready!
surely this will spread the word across boards!

it should be "opt out" if you ask me and even then it should be ignored because organ donation should be mandatory.

It's been like this for many years now but I guess it's good to remind people every now and then.

As far as I can recall its a box you tick and sign.

I've ticked 'multi organ donar' - I don't see the point in throwing away good organs if they can save another life.

I like the situation in Israel where if your a mult- organ donor you get preferential treatment in hospital in order to keep your organs in good health should they be needed at the time of your passing.

Doesn't matter if you have a tattoo saying you want to be an organ donor, it's down to next of kin.

Check out the Irish kidney association for a donor card.

Whether you tick that box or not, or carry a donor card or not it's still up to the next of kin whether organs can be taken or not.
