I have a UPC 20Mbps broadband connection. When I test the broadband performance of my Galaxy S (running Darky's v9.2) the max download performance I can get is 6500kbps using the speedtest.net app. This is when I am in the same room as the wifi router. When I repeat the same test with laptop (over wifi) I am getting close…

Is there a limit to the wifi bandwidth supported by Galaxy S or android in general.

HTC Sensation speedtest maxes at ~5MB on an 8MB connection. My Desire before that was similar...
