Myself and the Girlfriend are heading to Seville next month for a few days. Will do the obvious i.e. checking out the Cathedral etc. but would like any suggestions regarding:
    -good restaurants
-bars: love to try interesting drinks and beers from local brewaries, so if anyone knows a brewhouse or something similar
    - anything else you can recommend for us to do/see is appreciated

    Thanks
    MM

Hope it is OK to resurrect this old thread !
Heading to Seville at the end of March, of course am checking travel websites for things to do, will definitely visit the Alcazar.
Looking for a bit more personal tips on what to see and good restaurants.
    Many thanks in advance !

copied this from an email from a friend of mine who lives in Seville, that she sent me before i went last year.

archivos de indias is a nice building, but don't spend too much time there.

    In Sevilla you must see:
    -Real Alcazar
    -Cathedral
    -Giralda
-Plaza de España y parque de Maria Luisa
    -Archivo de Indias
-Torre del oro and walk around the river
-Barrio de Triana and calle Betis
    (Live flamenco at night time)
-Alfalfa neighborhood and Plaza del Salvador
    -Metropol Parasol o las setas
    -Barrio de Santa Cruz
    To eat:
    -La chunga
    -Duo tapas
    -Antojo
-Bodeguita de Antonio Romero (order piripi)
    -Casa morales

Take the train up to Cordoba for the day. It's only an hour away and the train has AC if it's roasting. Cordoba is an amazing place, the mosque is truly one if the most incredible things I've ever seen. I think there's even a cathedral in the middle of it if you want to grab mass.

Seville is brilliant, you will love it. Just keep away from the scary gypsy ladies outside the cathedral.

Go for a drink in El Rinconcillo. Yes, it's very touristy but it's a really nice bar and the tapas are decent too.

Cervecería Internacional is nice if you want to drink decent beer.

Was there last week, great place - I'm sure you'll have a great time. Few things we did that I thought were well worth it:

    -Mercado de Triana
    -Basilica de Macarena
-Went to a game at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan
    -Metropol Parasol
-Flamenco show at Casa de la Guitarrra

    Places I'd recommend for food:

    -La Bartola
    -Maquila Bar
    -El Burladero
    -La Cacharreria (for breakfast/brunch)

We were there last week and there are some terrific tapas bars all over the place, wherever you go.

But there is one restaurant we hit, called El Traga, that is a couple of notches above anywhere else we visited. Its more expensive but still ridiculously cheap compared to here (2 of us ate like kings with desserts etc and had a €28 bottle of wine - €100 incl tip).

If 50 day aged Galician ox is your thing, this is the place.

    Do make a booking though.
