Just wondering if anyone has any idea what happened to all the trees in the intake area on the way to Inchydoney from Clon? Passed there the other day and could'nt believe it - all the nearly mature fir trees have died, even the briars and gorse near them look dead. Very sad to see.

Hey janina have you got a pic. If everyhting is dead, something physiological or human I'm afraid. near the road - possible fuel spill?

Would it not be from the very harsh winter we got.

The winter wouldn't have killed gorse, briar's and fir trees I'm afraid, only the hand of man could cause that kind of damage.

    A confusing one!

Can't seem to be able to load pic!:o Definately quite large area, about 15 to 20 acres of trees dead. Looks like either some catastrophic disease or otherwise some form of poison. Seemed fine up to two or three months ago so not so sure its weather related.
