    Hi,

I am looking at wood gas generators to produce electricity for our home as we have alot of waste timber every year. I am going to apply for an import export meter from Esb. As I understand the tarrif is 19cent for the first 3000 kw and 9 cents after this. I have 2 esb meters one for our house and another on another house that I own. Does anyone know if I could use one generator to supply 6kw to 2 meters in my own name? Any help would be appreciated.

So you want to install the generator into the ESB grid to power both homes?

There is an irish manufacturer selling a turbine with 2 generators allowing the price to be shared between two farmers so I wouldn't rule it out. Otherwise you could consider going to a higher feed in rating at 3 phase and run it all thru the one house maybe.
Are the two houses served by the one transformer? Would there be issues with sensing an esb shutdown if there were two connections after one transformer??
