Waiting on BTEA

What are other people doing regarding finding accommodation if you are waiting to hear if you're entitled to it? I dont want to be taking something now and finding out i cant pay. Is it worth a trip to the bank and asking them for a loan if i don't get the BTEA?

Well if you've been receiving social welfare for more than 9 consecutive months and your course is an approved course (undergrad or hdip) then you can be pretty certain you're entitled, it's just a matter of waiting for it to come through. In that case you just need to have money to tide you over in case it is delayed. Mine was approved in good time last year though so you should be okay
