With Marnie empowered by spirits of the dead, Bill issues an unpopular order to save vampires from the light. Eric embraces his amnesia; Luna discovers Sam is not the man she thought he was; Lafayette expands his consciousness; Pam gets a body peel; Andy’s date with Holly doesn't go as planned; Jessica has doubts about her future with Hoyt; Alcide and Debbie join a new pack.

Directed by Michael Ruscio, written by Alexander Woo.

Looks promising, but keep in mind that we were promised a lot for episode 6 as well which didn't exactly happen in the end. :(
I'm keeping my hopes up though, because Alexander Woo has written some very strong episodes in the past. Ruscio, however, has only previously directed one TB episode from season 2 and I can't remember much about its quality - anyone?

I couldn't remember myself so I had a look on IMDB, and found it was an ep called Release Me. I enjoyed that one and the particular stand out moment was of course the introduction of Godric at the very end, to save the day.

I lol'd at Ginger on the coffin and the people thinking Pam was a zombie :D

The Bill and Jessica scenes were quite touching hopefully Jason saves her

Ah, so we've got ourselves a medium! Huzzah!

Jessica and Bill are great in scenes together, the bedroom scene was what is usually a very dull method of story telling (where one character basically tells another and the audience the backstory) - but because of the good acting they really managed to pull it off in this episode.

Also, we get what seemingly everyone wanted: a gratuitous sex scene!
Was half expecting Bill to show up with his usual amazing timing.
The bed scene that followed was extraordinarily dull though. A polar opposite conversation scene to the one with Bill and Jessica, even though realistically the Bill/Jessica should have been way worse.

Tara is still annoying as hell - someone. please. kill. her.

Another great Bill/Jessica scene when they are silvered. More of this please TB writers!

Overall not much happened, but it was an excellent episode cannot wait for next week! If Jessica dies I'm going to be pissed

    Great ep!

Have to agree with the above too, the Bill and Jessica scenes were what made the episode for me. I'm hoping that their touching scenes weren't a justified build up for Jessica's death. I believe that gunshot at the end was Jason incapacitating the guard, and that he'll tackle her back inside at the last minute. She'll be weak and with the added vamper juice inside of him he should be able to restrain her, maybe with his cuffs or something. At least that's what I'm fervently hoping will happen. Who knows what AB has up his sleeve. Watching the Comic-Con promo again I see they've cleverly omitted any further clips of Jessica. Crafty.

Liking Lafayette having some supernatural powahs of his own.

I hope Pam still gets to kill Tara.

EDIT: Anyone else think there for a moment that Jessica was going to free Bill? That witchy mojo is powerful stuff.

Noooooooo - Jessica!!!!! Hope she's saved, she's one of the best characters by far. I wasn't sure if she was going to unsilver Bill too, the two of them were excellent in every scene.

Didn't think Tara could get any more annoying, but the writers outdid themselves.

Jessica won't die until we see a sexy scene with her and Jason.

Really enjoyed that episode. Some great scenes in it. The hatred of the vampires by Marnie and her coven is really well done.

Looking forward now to next week.

Just finished watching the episode there. Great stuff. Easily the best episode of the season for me. Has me thinking we could be onto a winner now after a slow enough start.

And Eric is infinitely worse. Sookie is poison.
