Anyone know of a good computer doctor??...I amn't the best on the computer and want someone just to help with virus protection and few other basics...LOads of fliers come thro the door, but would prefer to use someone tried and tested, who doesn't charge an absolute fortune! ..Am based in Clontarf/Killester area.....Any recommendations??

    Here's some free advice.

If you don't have any anti-virus software on your machine I'd highly recommend installing Microsoft Security Essentials. It's free and it works. (I've had it installed for the last year and a bit and no problems).

What were the "other basics"? I'm sure we can point you in the right direction.

Than u sooo much 4 that- ur a star! To be honest- my Mam ( a silver surfer) has a computer that needs a bit of updating...We cant even expand a web page at the min...was trying to book flights and had to keep moving the icon over...Not the best om compter myself , so we figured getting someone in to help us out might be best option...

I'm guessing you screen resolution is set to something like 800 * 600 which means you can't see all the webpage. Right click your desktop and cllick Properties. Select the Settings tab and change the resolution to something like 1024 * 768. (This is for Windows XP)
