Aww, obv the Pats don't want him back so there's no where for him to really go. Pity that last season ruined his rep IMO.

Yeah but honestly this is still f*cking insane.

    So effortless.

Fortunately for Randy, that's absolute bollox.

Apparently the Pats made an one year offer probably at a vet minimum.

Moss' pride was too much to accept a 1yr vet minimum contract and battle for a roster spot in TC. Its such a shame i'd love for him to swallow his pride and fight to be great again.

If injuries hit the Pats at WR and the give him a call mid-season, i seriously doubt Randy will pick it up.

Temper gets you into trouble. Pride keeps you there.

I didnt say it ruined how good of a player he was or his chance for the hall of fame but it left a very bad taste in the mouth IMO...

    Really?

Randy was never a saint, for last year to leave a bad taste is kind of unbelievable. We've always known about what type of person he was. He's one of the best players ever, not even his personality can take that away from him.

I wish him the very best anyways. He is supposed to be very intelligent and people reckon he will do well coaching so I think it would be a smart move by him to get into that as soon as he can rather than hanging on for another season.

One of my all time favourite players and the second best receiver ever to play the game only behind the great Jerry Rice. Two videos here, the first one is at Foxboro messing with a fan dressed as him.

That video interacting with the fan is excellent. He's probably a down to earth guy too, despite the off/on field issues.

Regardless of his last year influencing his rep, he was a true servant to the Patriots. 2007 was likely his best year and watching Moss as a cog in that effortlessly good offense was straight up exciting. His ripple effect has influences elsewhere, he helped make the Patriots one of the best offences around, contributed to the growth of Brady, Welker and co., and has made the Patriots over the last few years a dominant team.

If he is intelligent like people are saying, any team would be gifted to have him as a wide receivers coach or any job like that.

    Best wishes Mr. Moss!

I think he'll be back. Petulant diva behaviour. Nobody wants me, fine then none of ye can have me. He's sulking cos Ocho and Plax were picke ahead of him for teams he thought he could play for. I'd gladly take him at the Ravens

Perhaps he thinks Randy thinks he's a big fish

Just meant to show that he's a down to earth guy and that he was never really big into parties and nightclubs (at least afaik). And it's an awesome picture imo.

No Randy would be the guy holding the fish...

Great player, last season wasn't so good but he will be missed.

Randy will be back and I'd be willing to put a bet on that. As some of the guys said this is more of a hissy fit type reaction. Its not as if he's physically unable to perform and last week he agent said he was in the best shape of his life so i'd say come cruch time if someone like the Bears (who's WR were useless last season) or a young team for example the Redskins need that bit of experence for a P.O. run then he'll be back.

I'm sure the chance of being the late signing that saved a season / made the play-offs was there he'd love it!

My favourite Randy Moss clip is nothing to do with football. It's on YouTube which is blocked here at work, but it's basically some guy with a camera phone talking to Randy after he got a fine. He tells Randy he better get out his cheque book, and Moss says "Nah, I don't do cheques". Then the guy says "How do you pay for stuff?", to which Moss replies "Straight cash homie!". Having been a popular video amongst a small group of friends, it goes without saying that there was a period of a few months where on nights out, we made it a point that everyone knew we were paying for drinks with "straight cash homie!".

    :o

One of the ESPN shows made the point that he'll skip training camp, wait for some team's WR to get injured, a team with a shot to win the Superbowl, and he'll jump on board then.

    Sounds plausible to me......
