The pedestrian crossing looks like it is going nowhere. Either that or the red car in front of the passat is parked on a pedestrian walkway.

Boot on Passat is creased and held down with a strap, E36 was only manufactured up until '99 but it's possible to have a late reg.

Someone paid to Have a 323i plate on their 318i

As others have said, definitely a late reg E36, the E46 was out then.

It seems the bumper of the passat is tied on with a bit of rope or something because it doesn't seem to go over the lid of the boot!

    Exciting times in the fairgreen!

    Your all blind.

Nobody has parked in a manner which disrupts that hot looking girl from using the pedestrian crossing and only one car is parked on the double yellow lines near the door ;)

Weird, I just saw a 00 E36 convertible out in Finnegans, the reg caught my eye. Can't spot anything hilarious, out of ordinary, in that pic!

Don't think the 'vertte was out till 01 in the E46 was it?

Similar to how the E46 coupe and 'vertte overlap with the E90, they were both around untill 06 at least?

Maybe so, just looked very dated for a 00 plate! Like most end of run models.
