Hi all, I originally posted this in the WWii section and was directed to here instead. So if anyone can help with providing me with some information on this M1 helmet it would be much appreciated. What I have found out about the helmet (or shell, because it doesn't have the webbing or headgear inside it), is that the helmet is post wwii, due to the change of some things like the shape of the front top, in that it was shaped differently to earlier one's, the earlier ones were more bulbous at the top. Also the point where the steel band on the rim met was changed from the front to the back.

There are pictureshttp://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056334147, from where I posted originally. Thanks.
