Is there a knack to landing a student house theese days?

Hi guys,
I’m trying to help my student 2nd year sister land a 4 bed house anywhere near N.U.I.G before the ol' CAO offers come out.
seems houses are seriously thin on the ground this summer despite me sitting my arse on Daft every day and getting the Advertiser every Wed.
it’s a joke at this stage.
Anyone know when the glut of houses might be up, or recommend any places or shop windows I can look?

4 bed houses near NUI arent exactly ten a penny, you might want to reassess your criteria, plenty of houses mostly 3beds though in Tirellan, Renmore, Mervue, Ballybrit etc.

Thanks Ben for replying, il keep those places in mind, aye its a big shout wanting four rooms, I had Dun na Coiribe in mind or something out Headford rd. direction where houses are bigger, so ah fingers crossed for a week or two longer, then we'l downsize and make them share rooms!

I dont think you should have too much problem getting one there should be loads out the Newcastle area.
My guess is a lot havent been advertised yet because they were probably rented out for race week. You usually start seeing them towards the end of this week or next week.

Put an ad in yourself seeking the accommodation, it always worked for me when I was in college.
