Basically I was seeing this guy in work and it didn't work out. Unfortunately as we work quite closely together I have to talk to him every day and we seem to be stuck in a loop. He keeps asking me about my feelings whether I am ok. I just find it all so draining. Now we have started getting annoyed with each other over nothing. I just need advice on how to handle this. If I stick to work topics he thinks i am annoyed with him. If we talk about personal stuff it ends up in an argument. What's the best way to deal with this?

Have a chat away from the workplace, somewhere like a coffee shop, not anyone's private space or with drink involved, agree boundries, stick to them.

Yeah except he turns everything into a drama. For example my friend met him out one night and said a few things to him and it turned into a month long drama. He seems to need constant reassurance. I'm fed up with it all.
