Military cadets - recruiting??

    Hey,

    Are the military recruiting for Cadets again does anyone know? I checked the website there and nothing! Isnt it always around this time?
    Anyone know anything?:)

    Best place to ask would be in the military section, they usually discuss this type stuff there etc,.

    they normally would have interviews done and finished at this stage as they get offered the cadetships around the time the leaving cert results come out,the competion phase normally starts around end of Feb/start of March each year

    Yeah, it was ages ago. Air Corps finished up a few weeks ago. I thought it was strange that there was a group of female officers on "Saturday Night with Miriam" telling people to apply, kinda missd the boat for this year anyway!

    OP,

    Don't want to sound ignorant or anything but If you don't have connections in the officer ranks I don't think its worth applying for. As far as I can see the only chance you have of getting to be a cadet is if your Dad etc is already an officer

    Also to be frank, the OP displays certain personality traits on boards....
    They would reject you flat, unless you were able to change who you are as a person.

    Maybe harsh but I believe anybody who reads PI/etc would agree.

    + 1 . Strange the OP asks here with family in the army and the fact that cadet recruitment closed to applications months ago.

    Because I saw it on Miriam the other night and was just wondering why they were going on about joining.... I did think myself it was odd so I said I'd see here.
    Asked my da and his rank wouldnt be told much about recruiting side of it. His job is different.

    Jeezz, I'll have to take note next time if my post seem strange because of A B and C.
    Im just asking like...... :confused:
