So how did you get the name? :D

Used it on a different site many years ago and it stuck! It originally came from the joke about Robinson Crusoe being the only one able to get everything done by Friday. There's also a pretty decent film called His Girl Friday!

    • What's your favourite song to dance to?
    • Do your friends dance? Cos if they don't dance they're no friends of mine
    • Will you join me in a rendition of Kate Bush's interpretive dance to Wuthering Heights sometime?
    • Do you agree that Van Damme, in his extra tight pants, is godlike?
    • Will we always be together in electric dreams?
    • Which of these brat-packers would you like to go for tea with? Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Emilio Estevez or Andrew McCarthy?

I had a housemate who was a lurker and wanted to ask a question so signed up. Somehow haven't managed to escape!
    koth wrote: »
    2. last movie you saw in the cinema, and was it any good?

Bridesmaids (about 6 hours ago) and it was BRILLIANT!!! Really enjoyed it!
    koth wrote: »
    3. alcoholic drink of choice?

White wine, tia maria (mixed with oj) or Captain Morgan (with lime and water)
    koth wrote: »
    4. last book you read?

Probably Heidi... Unless we count Nemi as a book!
    koth wrote: »
    5. do you keep up on politics/ current affairs?

I try to. Part of my degree was politics. Sometimes though with work I just want to switch off when I come home! I get a lot of the news via twitter which is really handy but 140 characters means you don't get too deep into it - just the basic facts/views.
    koth wrote: »
    6. what tv show is your guilty pleasure?

Cold Case - I have loads of them recorded on Sky+ and am watching them from the beginning at the moment as they were showing from Series 1 on universal.

  • Subscribers Posts: 5,766 ✭✭✭girl_friday

    • What's your favourite song to dance to?

I don't think I have a favourite... It depends on the mood and the company!
    • Do your friends dance? Cos if they don't dance they're no friends of mine

Some do, some don't! And some of the 'don't's would be mutual friends so you may want to inform them of your views! :p
    • Will you join me in a rendition of Kate Bush's interpretive dance to Wuthering Heights sometime?

Only if it is in the privacy of my sitting room and many many cocktails have been consumed... Even then there are no guarantees!

If you want to do it elsewhere though I shall gladly hold your drink!
    • Do you agree that Van Damme, in his extra tight pants, is godlike?

Sure, anything for a quiet life!
    • Will we always be together in electric dreams?

Yup Goody Two Shoes, we will indeed!!
    trowelled wrote: »

    Andrew McCarthy definitely!!

    Hello!! :)

    lil'bug wrote: »

Yes, a few times! And I used to have the soundtrack too. It's been a good few years though so must watch it again.
    lil'bug wrote: »

Probably somewhere between the two... I can hide and you can go ages without seeing me but if you really need me I'm there.
    lil'bug wrote: »

For a holiday? Probably Boston or Adelaide. Other than that I am actually perfectly content where I am and don't want to go anywhere... :D
    lil'bug wrote: »

I HATE bananas and I LOVE pyjamas so no contest there!! :p

Ever wondered what the "don't drink, don't smoke" people do?

    Andrew McCarthy definitely!!

    *Swooooon* Loved that guy

I left Rob Lowe out of my list up there. Would you like Rob to saxamaphone at you a la St Elmos fire?

Well given that subtle innuendo follows I guess they don't post in the Noc forum! Nothing subtle about innuendo here! ;)

I'm going to guess they knit!

Pay off debts, buy new (to me) car and probably buy a house.

    Both elbows at different times.

When putting on socks, does the left or right one go on first?
What’s your most comfortable sitting position?

I'm sure I could find something to chat to him about! ;)
    Zwillinge wrote: »
    Your favourite sauce is?

Savoury would be hot sauce (e.g. Franks)
    Sweet would be caramel
    Zwillinge wrote: »
    Your favourite drink is?

Non-alcoholic would be tonic water and lime... Or Iced tea... :D

    Zwillinge wrote: »
    Your favourite author is?

Honestly couldn't pick a favourite... Charlotte Bronte would feature in there... Or Ross O'Carroll Kelly*! :p

    (*Paul Howard)
    Zwillinge wrote: »
When putting on socks, does the left or right one go on first?

Right probably more often than left...
    Zwillinge wrote: »
What’s your most comfortable sitting position?

Usually with my legs curled up under me... No wonder my knee is starting to complain!
    Zwillinge wrote: »

Probably sundress over leggings with either a cardi over it or 3/4 length sleeved top under it...
    Zwillinge wrote: »
Do you know I adore you?

    Erm... :o
    Zwillinge wrote: »
If you have to choose between a panda and a koala, what would you go for?

I can't choose!! Pandas are almost extinct and so lovely and I have always wanted to see one in RL... But I actually did get to hold a Koala before and they are also quiet cute! :)

If it's a black and white panda then I would be frightfully conflicted... If it's a red panda I'd probably choose the koala...
    Zwillinge wrote: »

    No.

(Cos I only drink tea about twice a year!)

I approve of this choice! :p

    Ever lick somebodies toe?

Ever melted chocolate and instead of using rice krispies just dipped biscuits into the melted chocolate and ate away?

Why you want to always kill meh?

Ever been stuck in an elevator?

If you were forced to watch one movie 24/7 for a whole year what would it be?

How many teddies are in your room?

Do you still happen to have any secondary school books around your home?
If not how did you dispose of them?

Nope, I moved out of my parents at 19 and left any that hadn't been dumped there... Not sure if my parents still have them or if not, what became of them!

Why have prunes such an odd colour to them?
What kind of car do you own? (If any)
Why do dogs always píss all over the place to mark their territory?
Should humans also píss all over to mark their territory as well?
Which is worse, a weirdo who hangs around where children are playing or a violent drug dealer who is trying to sell smack on a street corner? Also why did you choose the answer you gave?

Do you own or have you ever borrowed a magic invisibility cloak?

    Childhood hero?

    Boldest thing you ever did?

    Favourite lyrics from a song?

What toppings would one find on your fave pizza?

When two tribes go to war, go to war, go to war.... does anybody ever reeeeally win?

You're walking down a street. Someone you really dislike is walking down towards you.... what do you do?

Since you've been an adult, has anybody blown into your bellybutton in a comical fashion?

    Favourite Queen song?

If you had to move to a different country, which one would you go for?

When you say "FLAME ON!" do you burst into flames?

What's your guilty pleasure when you find yourself home alone for a weekend?

Who do you call when you want some pepperoni?

    Skoda Octavia

Violent drug dealer... There's a higher chance of him being joined by others and bringing more issues to the area. Also, people are more willing to approach a lone person so whatever issues are going on there may be easier to address in the long run.

I'm taking it that you mean from my childhood... I ripped my Communion dress climbing trees with the boys and spent the day hiding the tear from her.

    2mins 17 seconds...

And the hardest part of living
Is just taking breaths to stay

Because I know I'm good for something
I just haven't found it yet
    But I need it

Nope! As Eisenhower said: "I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity."
    Fewcifur wrote: »

Be respectful but generally just keep walking. I don't hate many people though so can't say it has happened!

Australia - have family there, speak the language, like the culture and my qualifications are accepted there so would be relatively easy to start again!

So hard to choose... I've a few friends and family members who have passed away that I would love to get one last night with so that's a possibility.

Other than that... Dara O'Briain, Mark Ruffalo, Jack Black, Gok Wan and Alan Carr... (I think! It'll change tomorrow!!)

I get really paranoid about milk going off as I drink it so rarely that I would recommend having a Cosmo or Mojito instead...

    Lemon or black cherry

    Try these solutions:

    1) Have a hug *hugs*
