    Hey all,

I've recently been tasked with selling my dads unwanted records...But neither of us know how much they are worth.

So i am here to ask if anyone knows were i could go(preferably online) to try and get an idea of how much they are worth before selling them on...don't want to sell them and find out in three weeks one of the records was worth a whole lot more :D

    Cheers

Heres a website I used to give me a rough value on a collection of vinal I got from my dad Id say out of 200 lp's I got reasonably lucky with maybe 20 or so.
But to be honost theres so much in vinal that its hard to know most of the "big money" is in unopened unplyed first edition stuff.

Probably best typing into google and then go for ebay but be warned dont expect much.

Valuing Vinyl Albums can be very tricky.
    Start by going to www.Ebay.co.uk
Do a search for the artist under records and watch whats selling.
If you are going to sell on Ebay you will have packaging costs and vinyl has to be packed properly.
Poorly packed vinyl will arrive damaged and people will want refunds.
You could try Georges St Arcade in Dublin 2, Spin Dizzy and Trout Records buy in Vinyl.
(probably no use to you as I just realised your in Limerick)
As far as I know there are some Vinyl Dealers around Limerick and Cork.
But do some research on values first, but remember, they will not give you full retail prices on them as they have to make money.
Or you could put them all on Adverts.ie as a job lot if there all of a similar genre.

Another good place to start... but prices are for mint copies!
