It all depends on your situation. They are primarily bull****, but sometimes, tosome people they provide some comfort. In the same way believing in higher powers and the after life.

I couldnt be arsed with them and don't think they can legitimately tell you anyrhig about yourself that you don't already know/can deduce.

But every now and again Patrick swayze can use a psychic to revenge his death... So it's all good

A lot of people who go to these lecherous manipulators have suffered from some sort of trauma.
