    help needed to find an engine for 02 toyota avensis 1.8 vvt-i new shape checked a few breakers for this engine around galway,mayo, traynors, but no luck any ideas, and what kind of price am i lookin at.

    The engine you are looking for is a 1ZZ-FE. Some Toyota RAV4's also equipped with that engine. Good luck finding one, try www.partfinder.ie.

    sure the "new" shape Avensis didn't come until 2003.
    will be hard finding a 1.8 VVT-i as so many odf them are knackered at this stage.
    Traynors up the north may be worth a shot as the 1.8 was a lot more common in the UK than here.
