I recently stayed in Madame Cuc 64. It was a 4 bedroom room and we payed something like 8 dollars each for the night and it had air con and tv and the room was really nice.
Also included is a basic breakfast (a roll with jam, bananas and tea/coffee/juice) and a simple dinner (noodles and spring rolls). It also had a computer that was free to use.
It was right in the centre of the main backpacker area with all the night life but of course with that comes a bit of noise but it wasnt overlly loud.

I also stayed in Madame Cucs. Although it might have been a different one. i can't remember there being a hostel where everyone went to but I might be wrong. Madame Cucs was run by a family and they were very friendly and the dinner was delish. They also helped us organise our tours and buses.
