Reading a story in the New York Times.

Short version: Woman gets raped by man. She presses charges.
In order to get her back and ruin her, he frames her for a series of armed robberies. He trained witnesses, drove people to show them her car for later identity verification and many other methods to frame her.
She lost her business, lost her job, lost her child, her home...

    The long version: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/26/nyregion/a-revenge-plot-so-intricate-the-prosecutors-were-pawns.html?_r=2&hp

Absolutely unreal. No doubt there will be a film in the making but my god, how do you get back all that you have lost!

you cant get back what you've lost ever

you should however be able take away whatever is equally as valuable to him..................his nutsack for instance

then brand him ..something like "rapist" in big bold lettering across his forehead.....then criplle him for life and take away any entitlements to state benefits

How about instead you take everything he owns away.

Lock him up while you treat this man because he clearly has some sort of mental imbalance.
Make him normal then ship him of to the other side of the country to start again with nothing.

well OK I suppose..but this doesnt really sound painful enough to me considering the pain he inflicted on the victim....+ it sounds costly...why should anyone have to pay for this guys rehabilitation

maybe if you use the proceeds of the sale of his assets

not sure that would be possible, making him normal I mean....I have a limited amount of faith in rehabilitating someone like this

would you like him to be relocated next door you with anonymity?

I'm not sure he could be treated too but if it was an viable option then they it should do it.

Its surely couldn't cost more than keeping him in prison for 15-20 years. And as you said sales of assets would help.

And yes I would have no problem living next door to him if he was 'cured' even being friends etc with him if this was the case.

I hope he gets a decent sentence. Unbelievable what some people are capable of.

How sadistic and cruel. Pretty horrible that he was scum enough to rape this woman, but to "pay her back" for reporting the crime by utterly destroying her entire life? Wow. There are no words.

He sounds like an utter sociopath, what a selfish evil man I don't think punishment won't be enough because he clearly feels no remorse if he can just decide to destroy someone's life like that. Absolute c*nt.

No need for the aul assumption of innocence with regards to the rape claim no?
