I've been accepted to study my postgraduate in Journalism but unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to cover the fees at the moment and was wondering if anyone knew if I can defer it for a year possibly?

    usually you can.
Just explain to the Graduate Studies office that you want to defer and they will explain who to talk to.
In any case you could always apply again next year because if you got in this year, you will probably get in next year.
