Wasters (The money type)

Well, what do people do to waste money that annoys you?

Have it in my head because I just posted this story as a reply in the food forum aswell.

At oxegen, a friend of mine was buying a bottle of water and a sandwich.
    Water + sandwich was €8
The meal deal was water + sandwich + crisps + fruit for €7.50
He actually argued with the girl serving him that he didn't want the meal deal and would pay the €8.
We were with a group of people aswell, so someone woulda eat the crisps and fruit.

This same guy will take every penny that someone owes him back,
for example, we rented a dvd for €4 and he had it in change (I only had a 50 note) The next day he asked me to pay the €1.60 for his bus since I owed it, fair enough. Then that night he payed €3.50 towards an €8 taxi since i still owed him 50c.

He's also getting the full grant for college along with (off the books) 200 a week wages AND applies for & gets money from the student assistance fund (a fund for students under extreme financial hardship)

You also have to ask him at least 5 times to get money he owes you off him (and even at that you never get the right amount back) He rounds off €8 to one if his 3 for a tenner drinks when you're out

    Jaysus, he angers me :P

No, it appears that I don't like how he deals with money

He's a grasshole, plain and simple. Get rid and all will be happy.

I hate people that waste money on fashion, ie: female friend of mine found no issues with spending €600 on a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes. Granted, if you can get use out of them, i wouldn't be as mad, but these particular pair were silk covered... Sole included. So if you walked in them, the silk on the sole would wear instantaneously and fall off the entire shoe (one piece of silk)...

Thats wasting money, much like €200 shirts/jeans. Why why why why why!?!?!?

I dont understand the fruit story. Similar things have happened to me before:

Me:"Id like a coke and burger"
Worker:"If you buy the Meal deal, which comes with fries you can get it for 20 cent less"
Me:"I dont want fries, I just want a burger and a coke"
    Worker:"But its a better deal.."

What I want to say - Me:"Gimme my fuppin burger!"

Depending on my mood, I either give into them and pay less money for more things at their advice, which the capitalist in me can not compute, or I stick to my guns and tell them that if a burger and a coke costs more more than a burger, coke and fries, then, I'll take the first option.

    1/ Accept meal deal
2/ Drop fries onto ground, grind them in with your heel
    3/ Give cashier the stinkeye
    4/ Profit

How can someone on the student assistance fund afford to go to oxegen? You should really try an report this IDIOT to someone.

Your mate is minoring in wastefulness, but majoring in being a tight fisted, greedy fraudster.

It's their money, they can do whatever they want with it. And if it angers you you have to admit you have a serious problem.

I like chips, just sometimes I dont want them. And if you say chips to most people here, they dont understand what you mean. Only fries works. And if you say chips in the US(where I spend some time), you end up with a plate of crisps .

I read the title as "Wetsers (The money type)" and immediately assumed it was either a thread about hot gold diggers, or about rich birds.

    OP I do believe your friend owes you 10 cent 1.60 + .50 = 2.10; 4/2 = 2

If I was you I'd make an issue of it as you know he likes things to be squared up ;)

No, no... it's more complicated than this.

If you use your money to create waste or to waste the lives of other people, this is unethical behaviour. Even if they do it willingly because they're desperate for the money, it can be unethical and he is right to call them out on it.

Donald Trump has more money than any of us, do you really think it's okay for him to get us to work and do stupid things while he builds toilets worth $1.4 million? It's not. We are all born into this world equally. You have to wonder and ask...: "how did he get this money? does he deserve the ability to do all these things while I slave every day???"... and the truth is no.

Got a cheap meal deal on groupon last week, burrito and chips for €4.50 in Pablo Picante.

Only the chips were actually doritos, and not lovely normal chips.

    I felt very let down.
