I was in the A.I.B. the other day putting myself through some deplorable customer service. They were sending me from pillar to post for the most simple thing and it was obvious that they were just being lazy.

Anyway...eventually I lost it and got in a fight with an arrogant little prick behind the counter...and then stormed out.

And when I got outside I realised that I left my bags inside...and had to wander back in...tail between my legs...

You should have paid a homeless person or elderly woman to go back inside and get the bags for you...

Have I ever gone in to AIB, had an argument with one of the staff, walked out and then come back in to get my bag?

    No.

    We dont all own pubs!!

whoever this is aimed at, are u looking for staff???

Penis comes from the Latin for tail.

As for AIB, I don't talk to the staff in there any more. I do all my banking online, via self-service or in my friendly local post office.

Also, that must be 4 or 5 pubs you own now abtbb. :)

Instead of just slinking back in for your bag you should have stormed backed up to the counter pointed to each staff and said " and remember fuk you, and you and especially fuuuukkk you and rob the pen on the chain grabbed your bags and walk out into the sunset with you guns slinging from your waist cause humble pie can taste bitter :P

You must have a really short fuse if you get into arguments with bank staff that easily, what did they do that was so bad or did you just not get your own way?

I bought something in a shop once and left it behind. Got a good way down the road before I copped and ran back.
Luckily the girl had kept the bag behind the counter and was keeping an eye out for me :o

I can never understand why people get so agitated and angry like this. If you treat everyone with a hint of respect, a cheeky smile and throw in a healthy dose of humour no matter how much of "an asshole they appear to be" you can get anything you want in life and more ;)

Recently after paying for my stuff on a quick service check out machine at a Tescos store , I was in such a hurry and had gone about 50 yards outside the store when I realised I had not picked up my £10 note from the change box below the machine so ,rushing back was glad to see a smiling woman who was about to use it say '' I gather that's your change ' ? ( phew) To right it is lady :).

was in a bank while back looking for overdraft and had to go in and "talk" with manager in her office, she was never going to give it to me but felt the need to sit me down and make excuses as to why not. I got tired of her bs and got up to leave without letting her finish her sentence and went to open the door but it was on one of those stupid keypad locks so I had to stand there like an ass waiting for her to open it for me.I also muttered FFS under my breath while standing there (I was fair miffed at that stage) and she all smugly said "that kind of language isn't going to help your case either". Like I was 12. Smarmy smarmiester.

[edit: fair, I am a total bitch when dealing with bankers, I passionately detest them]

The amount of times I've walked out of a shop with my purse left on the counter seems to suggest I have some sort of neurological disorder.

you should try putting more money into your acount, the level of service goes right up, I've even been asked to take a seat on their nice comfy couch while we sort out your transaction Mr Solnskaya, and the teller will come out and get you when everything is sorted, no queing with the plebs!. Banks are in the business of money, and if you've none, you're just a pain to them. They're nicer to deal with if you don't want anything off them. My attitude to them is "here, mind this for me", and if they were ever rude, it would be their first and last time to be so.

    Nope.

When me and the GF bought a house we decided to open a joint account, so we could both transfer cash moneh to it to cover bills etc. We were made to jump through hoops to do it. (some of which I can understand for money laundering purposes etc) - but it went beyond a joke.

'Just give your details at a bank that suits and they'll post it on to the main account'

'Main account bank: Pffft internal mail? sorry mate, wouldn't trust that'

That, as well as looking for their stamp on my statement, which they said they didn't do, made me put on my - I'm going to cause a ****ing scene face. Job done, new joint account and official BOI stamp on my ****ing twelve year old account with BOI.

Why do you detest them? She was probably trying to explain what would make a difference if you applied in the future.

I believe the medical condition is known as 'stupidity'.

    It's actually quite common.

So he went in with his dick tucked between his legs and pretended to be a girl?

One time the guy in the bank was telling me that it would take 3 working days for money from a cheque to clear and be available in my account.

I was really annoyed because I wanted to use the money earlier.

So I let out this really aggravated sigh and he knew I was annoyed. After my business was finished I left the premises at a moderate pace, but I didn't close the door behind me.

Next day I had to go back into the bank again. How embarrassing!
