    Hey lads,

I'm currently in Puno, Peru about to travel to Cusco to see M.P. I should be finished in Cusco on friday 5th August and ready to travel on the 6th. I need to get to Bogota on for the 15th to fly home but i have no idea how.

Everywhere i have looked have given really expensive prices for all legs of the journey. For example, somebody quoted 50 USD for flight from Cusco to Lima with LAN but the cheapest i find ia 150 USD.

What i'd like is a cheap travel option from Cusco to Bogota by any means possible. I'd also like to take in a few sights on my way.

So, 9 days from Cusco to Bogota, how do i do it?

    Regards,
    Popa.

If you don't want to spend the money on the flights, the only other option is bus. You could try get a flight to Iquitos, then take a boat to Colombia and fly from there to Bogota. You'll have to check the security situation. I was told not to get a bus from where the boat will stop to the capital as it can be dodgy.

Other than that you can take a 24 hour bus to Lima, another 24 hour to Quito and so on.

It's quite last minute now so it may be hard to find cheap flights. Make sure you check out COlombia's national airline, they used be better than LAN on prices.
