    Hello,

Heading to Thailand in October and hope to visit Vietnam, Cambodia and the islands (Phi Phi, Koh Samui etc). Will be there for just over a month, planning on staying in cheap hostels but has anyone any idea how much money I will need for this trip??

    Thanks smile.gif

about 1000 euro is a good guess at spending money for a month
are u taking any internal flights?
u can spend as much or as little as u like..
for 1000 you could see some lots of sights not stay in total dives
and eat every meal in a cafe/stall/market/restaurant
a month is short for where your looking to go
i spent 6 weeks in vietnam,3 in cambodia,3 in laos and 8 in thailand
and im kinda sorry i didnt stay longer
the real expense is getting there so if possible stay longer and take it all in..imo

You're packing way too much in for the time you have.

By just over a month, I presume you mean no more than 6 weeks. There's absolutely no point in going travelling if you're going to spend your time on buses, boats etc.

Decrease the destinations and relax and enjoy your holiday.

Vietnam is a very long country. You need about 3 weeks for that alone to do it in comfort.

It's a long way from Koh Phi Phi to Hanoi.

Regarding spending money, 250 per week is a good figure to be thinking of, but try and bring more if you can.

    Hey guys.
I'm leaving Australia next week and going to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for 4days. Does anyone know good hostels or cheap hotels that aren't dives and safe for solo travellers. Any info would be greatly appericated.
