Canary Islands in October

My family have never been on a sun holiday together and have not been abroad together for a good few years now, but we are now considering going to one of the Canary islands at the end of October, so just have a few questions as we are all totally clueless whether this would be a good place to go.

If anyone could help, which of the islands would be best to go to? Heavily thinking about Fuerteventura but heard there can be heavy winds there.

What kind of weather could we expect at this time of year? Would it be warm enough to go for a swim?

Canaries at the end of October? You'll be fine. You'd be unlucky to get cool weather at that time of year.

As regards where to go, that really depends on what you want out of the trip. For years we went to Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura, but that was because it suited young kids and because the transfer time from the airport is so short. More recently we've been to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote and Puerto de Mogán in Gran Canaria.
