Looking for advice!

We're travelling around this Sept, going from Cherbourg to Amiens then onto Alsace. We're off to Austria and back via north Italy. So the only part of the trip we have to decide on now is how to get back up through France.
We've been to Lyon, Annecy and stayed a while in Burgundy. So we're thinking of heading the Limoges/Poitier route. Any suggestions? We've about a week to get back up to Roscoff, so we're probably looking for two spots on that route.
