Creamfields tickets on TicketMaster

Hello everyone, just a quick question.

I have never purchased any sort of ticket from Ticketmaster before, and saw the Creamfields festival tickets for sale on Ticketmaster.ie

So I spent ages attempting to buy a last minute 2 day camping ticket last night, using my Laser card (paying as Maestro which it claimed to accept), but to no avail was I able to get a ticket. It kept saying my card number was incorrect (even though it was very much so correct)

Does anybody know if it is possible to buy Creamfields tickets in the Ticketmaster booths in shops?

May be a bit of a silly question. :P

    Thanks in advance.

    Best wishes, Dave.

The maestro symbol on your card refers to the ability to withdraw cash from ATM's displaying the Maestro symbol. It does not mean that merchants accepting Maestro cards as payment online will be able to process it. If ticketmasters payment processing is expecting a maestro card then your laser card number will come up as invalid.

I would have thought that ticketmaster accepted laser card here. The fact you mentioned creamfields and Maesto I suspect you're on the UK site for Ticketmaster which most likely won't accept laser cards at all.

    Ah I see now.

Thank you very much for clearing that up.
Was just a bit confused as the url for the Creamfields tickets being sold was still ending in .ie, so i suspected that I was still on the Irish site, and able to pay by Laser.

Guess I'll just have to ask my sister to use her credit card so. ^_^
