Was just watching the McBride and Wach fight on the net.
He looked well out of shape,(more so than usual) i think he was 10pounds heavier than he was in his last fight against another polish guy, Adamek.
McBride got knocked out cold in the 4th round and from what i could see had to get a neck brace and be stretchered out.

I hope he's ok but dont want to see him fight again for his own sake.

    All the best to McBride.

Why he did not got in better shape after beating Tyson I just know, even in that fight he was a slow fat mess, he could have had a few big matches and maybe done ok if he lost 2 stone or so, I can't take boxers like him serious, retire already

Not nice to see a guy injured badly in the ring. But ...
I mean 10 lbs heavier than the Adamek fight!!! That is pretty shocking. Most of us seen that fight and he was badly out of shape. It wasn't all that long ago either and he comes in another 10 lbs heavier.
Yes he should retire immediately. How he is getting his licence is beyond me. I thought you have to prove healthy enough to compete and surely there are issues on that front if he's coming in clinically obese?
Like he would fail most physicals for jobs like Guard, Army, Fireman.

Bugger is making me look even worse given that he got the nod over me in the unpaid ranks.

Ruining my brag of how the guy who stopped Tyson could not stop me. :D

I think his battle with the demons of drink have been the underlying cause for a lot of the way he has conducted himself as a boxer. This isn't just a case of him being like your average American Heavyweight who refuses to stop eating copious amounts of fast food and put adequate effort into training.

It's a shame really as at times in fights, such as the Tyson and Golota display he showed glimpses that he could be alright if he got himself into shape. Not great by any means (and not top 10 either), but a decent enough Heavy who'd get some very good paydays off his ethnicity and win over Tyson.

Anyway Wach was 10/11 to win this fight by ko/tko/dq, very easy money imo.

They were very good odds alright. Shows how bad Adamek is at this weight that his fight went the distance.

Actually just checked on that fight, I had assumed wrongly that it wasn't for a world title. That's just wrong on so many levels
that McBride had a title shot. It's clear guys must be going broke and giving up the sport if McBride is the kind of opponent getting sanctioned.
Vacant title, so not Wach fault I suppose. McBride gets schooled for 12 rounds by Adamek and his next fight would have him being able to proclaim "World champion" if he won.

It was a WBC 'International' title fight, not a WBC title fight. The International title is used just to increase your rankings with the WBC. WBO IBF, WBO all have similar verions (Inter-continental etc). No one considers it a World title fight.

    .

It's not that Adamek is bad per se, he just lacks power at the weight. He was landing at will on McBride in their bout.
I hope McBride calls it quits now. It's not fair on those around him if he continues.
