Angry trees. Most boring movie I've watched in a long time.

Mysterious angry plants that make humans kill themselves, or something.

Its about a mysterious 'something or other' that renders typed sentences a nonsense.

killer trees? really not worth watching then. that writer director is responsible for some ****e and getting paid well for it. all his films are able to muster up a decent trailer and then you go to it and it turns out to be absolute scutter.

    Salary

The Village (2004)$10,700,000 (Story rights ($7.2 million); Writing services ($300,000); Producing ($3 million); Directing ($221,000).).Signs (2002)$12,500,000 (writing, directing, and co-producing)Unbreakable (2000)$10,000,000The Sixth Sense (1999)$3,000,000

$163,403,799 gross on a $48 million budget, they just about made a bit of profit at the box office. Surprised it cost that much given its quite a small scale picture.

As unpopular as this is going to be, but I kinda liked The Happening.

    Horse re-enacts The Happening.

Seriously though, I hated this film. I found it deeply insulting. I did leave halfway through but I had to hang around for my friends.

Worth it just to see Mark Wahlberg get out-acted by a plant:

Yeah f*cking terrible all right. Feels like a p!ss take on a b-movie "plants from outer space" or something.

My OH and I just stared at each other when they meet the soldier and as an exclamation he goes "Awwwwwww cheese and crackers.". Seriously.

The soldier was a bit goofy though so that quirky phase was a short hand way of pointing that out.

Granted, but you'd expect that of geeks, nerds or the likes. Not a soldier that's gone through training and is expected to be a bit "tough"! Just thought it was completely out of character.

It was entertaining for what it was, a large budget B-movie.
