Civil ceremony music

    Hi all.

I am having a civil ceremony (in a registry office) and I want to chose some music for it. I have never been to a civil ceremony myself and I am just wondering what is the norm.

Like when does music get played? Does it get played all the way through quietly in the background? Or do you need to get someone to press play at the right times? I am only having one bridesmaid and I have considered asking her to do a reading, so am worried about the music if someone has to be standing over it to press play...

Any experiences or input much appreciated :)

    Hey Monife

The norm is two songs one at the begining and one at the end, they have a CD player on site you just supply the music, The ones I've been to the Registrar pops on the music and looks after it, i suppose it depends on the Registrar on the day. Just make sure that your partner is there the 15 minutes before hand so they can go through the details of your ceremony readings music etc

    Good Luck

    J :D

    Thanks.

I had thought it would be 2 songs. Have them picked already :)

Have this software on my computer too so I edited them both to be about 1 minute so that we are not standing around like eejits waiting for the song to finish :)
