    Isn't the 3DS region-locked? Something to consider..

Good deal considering some of the great games out in US/Canada that are not yet due for release here. BlazBlue Continuum Shift II and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked(August 23).

Plus, the price is about to be slashed by about a third or so. Might be worth while waiting for the price cut.

I think this is the slashed price. The big e-retailers (Amazon, etc) have already slashed them.

    €144 + shipping + vat/customs duty = not a bargain

Probably best to buy it off Amazon UK alright. It works out at around €195 from them, free shipping, guaranteed to work with PAL games and no fear of customs.

Amazon in the UK havent applied the official price cut. They've had it at £169 before the announcement, actually it was £159 for a time in May/June.

So I would expect it to be even lower when they apply the official cut. Only buy now if you want the free tat.

Ah, I assumed that the price was dropped from reading the Nintendo forum. The 3DS was dropped to $169 in the states, so thought Nintendo just priced it £169 in the UK too. A quick Google says Analysts predict a pricing of around £150/£155. Either way, it's probably best to wait until August 12th when the price drop is official.

If you buy one and go online with it before the 11th you get 20 free downloadable titles later (to make up for those who bought before the price cut, value of approx 100 euro) so if you get a good deal in the meantime it's worth it...(or find somewhere with a price guarantee :P)
