Anyone know which satellite this service will be using ?

    http://qsat.ie/television/

Is it just Saorsat + freesat combined and then charging a monthly fee, which would be a bit cheeky ??

Running TV ads at the moment

We offer this package for €17.50 per month, which is extremely good value.
Our set top box costs €49.50, which is half of the cost of the Saorview-approved set top box (yes, almost everyone will have to have a set top box to receive the Irish channels only,
according to the Saorview website). Also, according to Saorview, many people in rural Ireland will also need an outside aerial to receive these channels, and they expect this to cost approximately €160.

We do not require an outside aerial for our TV service as all services come through our satellite dish. In fact, Saorview expects many rural customers to pay as much as €260 for hardware in order to receive their service. Our total extra charge for TV will only be €49.95.

Is it saorsat? TV3 not mentioned. Overall it seems very expensive even their broadband prices, not a great offer really.

I am surprised that UPC don't try for a MMDS/Broadband Satellite service in rural areas, which may allow for premium services such as Sky Sports.

You forgot the installation charge of 49.50 bring it close to the "colossal" price of saorview.

It does say "Our TV package will include, but will not be limited to, these stations"

However it is still not value for money.
