Does WMP work with an iPod?

If you like the idea of iTunes but not the implementation, you should try Songbird (although the last time I used it it was buggy as hell).

I've finally cracked and started using Winamp for managing my music collection - I'm not sure what it's like for interfacing with iPods but it does offer some music player management functionality. According to this Wikipedia list of iPod management software it was previously plugin-based but is now native.

I'm not sure if you'll like the music management side of Winamp, but if you've ever used MusicMatch it seems to be similar enough (though in saying that I've not gone near Musicmatch for the best part of a decade so I could be wrong...)

+1 for winamp...never used it for ipod but it's apparently okay with it, according to their website.

oh musicmatch jukebox takes me back...think it's actually discontinued now. was my favourite for ages til winamp came along
