I use AppBrain to download apps

Today Android Market automatically updated Gmail and Maps, over 3g

Is there a way to stop this automatic update . Up to now, I have been manually installing updates using AppBrain (over wifi)

One of the updates was to Maps, A new feature is precaching of a map, (precaches a 10mile radius ), is there a way to precache more than a 10 mile radius

    Thanks

Go into the app in the market and untick Allow Automatic Updating.

For cacheing you can only do the 10mile radius. Just caching more then one place is the onle workaround. (Keep in mind they delete after 30 days I think)
