    this seems to be from the Daily Mail headline generator tool, randomly assort words such as "gypsies" "muslims" "gays" "banned" "christmas" into a headline about someone banning something or other, or trying to get something or other banned.

    This story was reported in other publications besides the mail also. They did mention the local council quickly moved to take the signs down.

    He was in UCD too, did quite well talking about how well Islam apparently treats women till he said there were no "reported" rapes in whatever Islamic country he was talking about, then he lost us :P
