Problem With Dryer.

I've a Whirlpool vented dryer. Recently it began to smell. Not a strong smell but you could smell it from the clothes. Today my wife found water lying in the drum - about an eggcup full. So I made a few checks and found that exterior vent was full of fluff and the ducting behind the fluff filter had a fair bit of fluff in it and some of the fluff was damp. I dismantled it as much as possible and cleaned it.

Then Murphy's Law kicked in. I decided to give the drum a quick wipe with Milton to get rid of the smell. This is when I found a hole in the drum . The hole is about 1 square cm.

Can I get something to repair this hole? Some sort of 'sticking plaster'? I could do without having to buy a new dryer.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
