Hi, we are heading to Wales Monday Morning from Rosslare, so basically just looking for some advice on what campsites to stay in have never been!! There is 6 of us, myself the husband and the 2 kids aged 2yrs and 5yrs, and also have my mam and dad, but they are happy to go with what we want, and we just want somewhere the kids will be happy:D Looking to get a park in but not essential!

Any advice would really be welcome, have looked up on line but nice to hear from people that have been:)

    Thanks in advance!

    hello,
we(2 of us plus our 2 kids 3yr old and 5yr old) were in wales (north wales) for week back in june, really enjoyed our stay...we also brought the camper over to holyhead stayed at a Haven holiday park (Hafan-y-mor) every thing was laid out for us worked out about £118 for 7 nights in touring part of park, close to Snowdonia national park bring you're bikes with you and have a blast. [http://http://www.haven.com/parks/north-wales/hafan-y-mor/index.aspxSad to say it but Irish parks are so overpriced and facilities are not far off wild camping in a lot of Irish parks we visited over last 6 years compared to what you get in wales for less.[/COLOR]

Just back from Wales and stayed one (and one night only) in a campsite/field in CrossHands, near Carmathen. It was quite a clean site with little on it though, playground was minimal and there were signs everywhere with various different rules that were unnessecary. Anyway suffice to say he was the unfriendliest man ever and was rude to the extreme. It cost £26 for the night for 2 adults and 2 children. Believe me avoid this place if possible

I know its too late now, but the place to go in South Wales in the Gower Peninsula. Loads of great beaches and loads of camp sites. Theres one at Oxwich, which is overlooking Oxwich beach (voted most beuatiful beach in Britain).
