Sorry if this is a silly question, but I was wondering if two people who are not married need to apply seperatly for TRS or is it enough that one person does it. Just checked my TRS and we are getting €100 per month nearly 5years into mortgage(240k-17yrs left) does that seem right or does the other person have to apply aswell as they never filled out the forms.
    Thanks.

    Both people apply separately generally.

We applied separately but arranged for the TRS payments come into the same account as a single payment. So maybe that's what you did too. €100/month sounds about right to me.

As Seamus said, both apply separately. The Form TRS1P states that "One form should be completed by each applicant, however, married couples may complete one form."

Not exactly the best punctuation, but it is a government form!

Thanks for replies. So you think we are getting TRS for two people? Don't want to apply again incase it messes something up if we are getting it for two people.

    Orchidspretty,

If you are unmarried then you must complete separate forms - but if you are in any doubt whether you are receiving TRS ring them to check, they are very helpful.
