Event Insurance?

    Looking for advice here.

At a recent residents AGM, we started plans for a residents BBQ some time in September. We want to have games, a bouncy castle, etc.

One of the residents recommended that we get insurance for the event in case anyone (God forbid) gets hurt.

Is this a common enough thing to do, or is it overkill? If it's recommended, who offers this service, and what do I ask for?

Better to be safe than sorry tbh.

Try FBD,they have in the past offered public liability insurance for events like you are having.
