As in the title. Where would be the best place to pick up a cut of nylon or polyester(or your suggested material) to make a flag with in Dublin City

Also spray paint to make the design.

    Cheers

For material, I'd say the Woolen Mills on the quays.
I usually find them the best value, though it's worth trying Hickeys as well.
What fabric you want depends on what you want to do with the flag - inside/outside, waving etc. I'm not sure nylon is the best idea for a home made flag.

After that you probably want fabric paint rather than spray paint. What exactly will work and stick will depend on the fabric, but your best bet is to google that afterwards.

Nice one. If anyone wants to impart any more knowledge, I wouldn't be opposed to taking it on board. I want to make a flag to bring to Lansdowne for the Irish international matches. So outdoors.. waving etc.

I've made a few flags. Horde ones, mostly. :D What I do is just buy the cheap cotton from Hickeys and get fabric paint.
I think cutting a stencil out freezer paper is the easiest way to do it. It's like paper that's plasticy on one side. I have no idea where to buy it, I actually came on here to find out :P
You just iron the stencil on after you've cut it. It sticks to the fabric but doesn't leave any residue :D Then you can either use a spray bottle to spray on the paint or just dab it on using a brush or whatever.
It usually gives a neat result, but I usually end up getting fabric paint everywhere. But I am messy.
Some fabric paint needs to be set with heat, so read the directions. Hope I helped!

    Just found this thread

._. Guess you can't buy it here. I've never made a successful stencil with anything else so I can't help with alternatives, sorry!

You can buy it online for real cheap though. Like amazon and ebay :D
