upgrading a strat i have with some new pups, trem and nuts... (lefty of course)

but wondeirng has anyone used these kits!? hearing mixed reviews of its a tone killer, some saying its better etc but it seems like it would be a nice addition and save me getting a new trem, toyed with the idea of one of those wilkinson locking trems

but the saddles might do the job since the last ones are shot and the screws in them are all rusty

also wiring diagrams for pickups... anywhere online to get some custom type ones!?

ideally i'd like a HSS setup with a a standard wired 5 way switch 1 volume, 1 tone and in place of the 2nd tone pot a killswitch

    --

last thing need to seal some artwork on the scratch plate, any spray on type clear cover stuff that will work!? tried some stuff i got before in b n q but it didn't do the job, might need something more professional

    any help, cheers

So you want the switch running into a master volume and master tone knob - why not figure out your switch's wiring from a Strat diagram and wire the potentiometers in accordance with a Tele diagram?

As for a kill switch, you can grab a €3 push-to-break momentary switch in a place like Maplin and just wire that as the last thing in the guitar. I have one like this in my Squier Strat. I had two of the lever toggle style ones but snapped them both off within a few days of installing them, the button is the way to go I reckon. It's a great mod, love playing with a kill switch :)

    Also, \m/ BEER \m/ :p

The problem with a push to break switch like that is you are leaving the circuit open and the wires will act as a receiver picking up unwanted sound. A proper kill switch should be wired to earth to kill the sound properly. One option would be to use a shadow kill pot like this http://www.shadow-electronics.com/viewpro.html?lang_id&id=266 or the other is a toggle.

www.seymourduncan.com has a lot of wiring diagrams and the forum is a great help.

    www.guitarelectronics.com is another usefull site.
