Im training for the halfiron man triathlon in Galway in September. Ive gradually bought my running up to 16K. I usually have New Balance runners and have found them good before, but I was only jogging up to 10K.
Im now finding at about 12K+ mark that my right foot starts to hurt a bit, feels like the shoe is too tight.
Im thinking of buying a new pair of runners.
Im a bit nervous about changing runners with only a few weeks to go, am I right?!

Few weeks is plenty of time to break in a new pair of runners so I wouldnt worry at all

+1 I agree, changed mine 2 weeks out from IM, no probs. A couple of runs in the new shoes and you will be grand

You have more than a month. Plenty of time. And better than running with a shoe you know will hurt you.

If you replace them with the same model shoe you can increase the size by a half size to help accommodate your foot swelling over the longer distances. Helps keep your toe-nails attached!!

Yes, but do it now. If you're tri training you're probably not running that much in the greater scheme of things. A half a dozen decent runs should be enough to be confident with them.
