Just wondering does the radiology department still open on a bank holiday -as in do they still run CT, US, MRI, Interventional or is it reduced workload and just emergency procedures?

Emergency on-call service only is provided until 9am Tuesday.

It's reduced staff, workload remains the same, it just backs up onto Tuesday.

Hospital pays for 9-5 working days and emergency out of office hours only.

    In fairness,
How many GPs run a full service on Bank Holidays, or Pharmacies, or Lawyers, or Accountants? Or most other Professionals I can think of that work Monday to Friday 9 to 5?

Depends on what service you are loking for and where you require it from, many of the private services offer radiology access at weekends as they deal in volume and that is how they reduce costs, they dont operate 24 hours but they do have weekend services

Less Likely to get ultrasound and more likely MR CT

In mots public hospitals limited plain radiology services at nights weekends/ very limited CT services and very restricted MR service if even available at all
