Pistol Mag Problems...

Hey all,
I remember not too long ago that there was a discussion somewhere on here concerning pistol mags and that no matter what make if its for the same model weapon it should fit...

Well i beg to differ on the subject and heres why...

Last week i made an order on ehobby thinking the same thing, I have a KSC USP .45 and was looking to get a 2nd magazine for my pistol and this is what i ended up getting...

Was chuffed to bits lookin forward to having a 2nd pistol mag for skirmishes and stuff.

The stuff arriverd today I was like a kid at christmas opening up the stuff, immediately went upstairs took out my pistol and went to try out my new magazine... Firstly it wouldn't click in like the original one did just thought "oh well i'll have to tape it up" see a load of pistol with the magazines taped up cos they fall out... loaded it with a few BBs and put some gas in it to test fire it, pulled the trigger and all i got was a huge WHOOSH and all the gas leaving the mag.

Upon close inspection and comparison of the too mags I came to the conclusion that they DO NOT MATCH, so whatever people tell you about magazines for pistols being generic, always check!

the magazine you brought is for the newer system 7 ksc/kwa pistols where as your pistol and the original magazine are the older original design

system 7 is not backwards compatible it is a new design, if anyone told you they where compatible needs a clip around the ear

They never specified that it won't fit... so me being stupid just assumed it would, it can go back now anyway and they can send me an original one...

People will have told you that Umarex = KWA = KSC. But I think people would have assumed that you'd know what version of magazine to purchase i.e. the same as your original magazine.

Makes and models are not always cross compatible. But KSC and KWA are. They are effectively the same company.

Best course of action is to send an email to whatever company you bought it off, and ask if they will switch it

Pretty much done that soon as i figured out it wouldn't work...
