No. Because he loves wrestling. And he loves the fans. And he respects everything everyone does. And he does it because he loves it. And he's not in it for the money. And he never quits or gives up etc etc.

Just kidding. I wouldn't say it overly upsets him, but I'd say it'd have to get to you in a way sometimes. Especially if you're trying so hard and constantly being pushed as a face and you're still getting booed, because it means you're not doing your job right.

yeah like has he ever talked about it? i hope the day he turns heel he brings up getting booed in his hometown, ece 1ns stuff like that.

i'd say now he is over it but 4/5 years ago i'd say it definetly hurt him. like i seen a video there of him when he's in the ring with orton sheamus and kofi kingston and out of nowhere a load of people start chanting cena sucks....he wasn't even talking or anything...i'd say that gets to him

Hes does the "youve bought your ticket and this is AMERICA you can boo and cheers whomever you want" shtick.

even though a face getting booed means he's not doing his job properly i'd say he doesn't mind and actually comes to embrace it now. If you're cheering or booing, as long as you're reacting to him.

to be honest I'm surprised he hasn't and doesn't fight harder for his character to do what it takes to get a positive reaction. Cena's the ultimate company man, does whatever he's told, which is great, but it does mean his character (and ultimately the company) somewhat suffers.

i'd say he cries himself to sleep at night

He might have been frustrated at the start of his push when trying to get over with the fans and might have been worried as to how Vince would react to it.

At this stage though, I'd say it's water off a ducks back for him.

He still gets good pops and only really got booed when it was him and Punk in Chicago. I somehow think he can live with that

I think that is unfair. He isn't being booed because he isn't doing his job correctly, imo. He is doing what WWE want him to do and he is doing it as well as anyone could in the circumstances. I don't think there is anyone that could be put in the same scenario and do any better.

People dislike him because of how his is booked and because he isn't Rock/Austin.

I think it's the just plain awful comedy that gets him boo'ed. Booking is a massive part all right; nobody's even close to his level. My God, when he started doing his impression of McMahon's walk, or the "nyai want dis, nyai want that" i wanted to punch the TV! lol.

Definitely he does exactly what he's told. That's awesome but also a shame in the same sense. He's passionate for doing what Vince wants him to do; not for what's best for his character (which is actually what's best for Vince....)

I think the day John Cena gets upset is the day he comes out and gets no reaction whatsoever a la most of the undercard. Thats the day people no longer care about him and thats the day his run at the top of the card is over. As long as he keps evoking the reactions he does, then John Cena will be a very happy man.

I don't think it is an exaggeration to say he is booed in more places than Chicago.

He seems to get booed most in smark heavy audiences such as at PPV's. If Irish House Shows are anything to go by then most of the time he gets great reactions.

i think you uses that posing with the haters as a defence mechanism to hide how they're getting to him

Every wrestler goes out to get a reaction from the crowd, be it good or bad. and to be honest, between the cheering and the boos, Cena gets the biggest reaction nearly every week. I'm sure he's ;earned to deal with all the criticism by now anyway.
