firstly, i would love to know how the princeton review analyses colleges
    secondly why was maynooth selected
and thirdly and finally i was a student there in the business department and i found my course very basic, i also found all of my lecturers expect for one or two course very basic for example my law teacher gave out the exact same exam paper that in previous years which i found a joke and frankly i felt disappointed i even bothered to study for the module.

i am unaware the actions of other departments in nui maynooth but certainly the one in question needs to be analysed as its content is very in fact ridiculously basis and in some respects i felt with common sense could have passed some of the modules.
it seems to me that many of these students leave the college with good grades with a moderate understanding of business principles
in this case i would like to conclude that here the era of confettti degree as it was called isnt over in this institution and needs to be critically reviewed and not praised
for me the maynooth social life was the only good aspect of university life
others business departments havelonger lecture hours and more demanding tests and assignments
    anyone out ther agree????????????

    Evidence suggests otherwise....

Students are informed both throughout, and at the beginning of study that lectures are merely a supplement for independent learning. Universities such as Cambridge, for example, rely on the 'supervision' teaching model (small-group discussion based tutorial) with lectures as secondary. The Princeton model rightly acknowledges that academics alone are a poor metric of quality, and that student advancement depends on more than lecture hours.

I'm a student there now too and hearing about the kind of work that other university students have to do in other univerisities, your statement is still very much valid today.

Well, I don't know about the business dept. but the maths dept. I find pretty good. I think the pure maths course is probably at the best standards in Ireland, and the MSC initiative is pretty brilliant. Very few college have tutorials and corrected assignments in mathematics, never mind a support centre.
What I'm saying is, maybe the business department wasn't great but they're not just looking at one department. I only know about the maths department, so I'm just sticking in my two cents. Anybody else particularly fond of their department?
