    Hello Everybody
Does anyone have any suggestions for a 3-4 hour walk incorporating Máméan that would be suitable for a small group? From what I've been told, the walk from the carpark just before Recess is relatively short.
    Thanks in advance
    Fiona

Depends what the group is ready for... If you didn't want to go too high, you could walk over Máméan and down the other side to Joe Keane's pub at Maam Bridge - a nice mix of trail walking and road walking with a toasted sandwich at the end! Just drop a couple of cars at Maam Bridge before you head round to the Recess side to start walking...

You can use the carpark at grid ref 92600 52350 (follow signs from Maum Bridge) trek across maumeen to carpark on recess side and then follow the western way down along the south side of the Maum Turks and turn back whenever it suits

Thanks a million to both of you, responses much appreciated. We are a hardy bunch so will check out both of them today, though weather is terrible.

Just wanted to say thanks again to you both for advice. We walked from Maam village up to pass and back again on Friday-so taken by it that we went back over there on Sunday and did the same walk for the pattern. Really amazing place. My hips are shattered though!:D
